3 main principles
Hankido techniques are based on three main principles:
- circle (won)
- flow (yu)
- harmony (hwa)
These three main principles, samdaewolli, are accompanied by three basic stepping methods:
- jeonhwanbeop (circle steps)
- yeongnyubeop (flow steps)
- simhwabeop (harmony steps)
Since these techniques form the basis of all of our self defence you should practice them diligently.
