Cheongibeop 1-6

You must first complete Introduction Advanced before viewing this Lesson

In this lesson you learn the first six cheongibeop. The word cheon in cheongibeop means heaven. The cheongibeop are part of a group of techniques we call hwansangdobeop. The syllable hwansang carries the meaning of ‘to imagine’. You imagine you are doing the techniques. This gives you the chance to focus on your body structure and wether or not your movements follow the principles of won, yu and hwa.

There are also twelve technique called jigibeop. In these techniques you mimic the motions of the attacker. Ji means earth. Cheongibeop and jigibeop are each other’s opposites.
